Baha'is Under Surveillance in Iran

Radio Free Europe reports that Asma Jahangir, UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion, has issued a statement regarding surveillance of Baha'is in Iran. According to Jahangir's statement, in October 2005 a high-ranking Iranian military commander sent out a letter to various agencies, including the Ministry of Information, the Revolutionary Guard, and the police, in which they are asked identify citizens who are Bahai and monitor their activities.
